Chocolate Chip Clif Bar

I don't know if it's just my area that does this, but it seems like every convenience store carries 3 "default" Clif flavors (peanut butter, chocolate brownie, and chocolate chip), leaving the other flavors pretty hard to find at times. Out of those easy to find flavors, Chocolate Chip would probably be my favorite. It's quite a bit denser than a cookie, but I thought it tasted a lot like a chocolate chip blondie. I've read that microwaving them for 10 seconds makes it much softer, so that might have to be next on my "to try" list. Like all Clif Bars, it's pretty filling and is easy to eat on the go.

Full nutritional information here.

Are there any foods in your area that are hard to find? For me, there aren't any stores that carry Gnu Bars, Clif Nectar bars, and the Jocolat Larabar flavors, all of which I'd really like to try.

  1. i just had this yesterday and loved it! it was filling and really good tasting.. not too chocolatey or anything

soo much food is hard to find for me because i'm in college :)

  2. We have those standard Clif flavors here in abundance as well. Did you know that even Costco's in on it -- I believe their bulk Clif Bar pack consists of the same flavors. I wish we had s'mores Z Bars, but alas.

We do have Clif Nectar bars here...want a swap?

  3. I'd love to do a swap sometime in the future, but right now I'm trying to work my way through a massive Clif bar stockpile. My college has a meal plan that expires at the end of the semester, so at the end I had to quickly use it all up and ended up getting well over 100 Clif bars!

  4. yes it does seem that the bar flavor is lacking in my local grocery store as well...
